OUR HISTORY & VISION
In summer 1991 Pastor Elnathan and Pastor Nazanin Baghestani went to Turkey where their ministry started in the Persian church of Istanbul and Ankara. Within a year their ministry grew in evangelism and establishing the church.
In Spring of 1992 Pastor Elnathan and Pastor Nazanin Baghestani returned to Iran to continue their ministry in their own home church, Central Assembly of God in Tehran. For two and a half years they ministered as assistant pastors, teachers of Sunday school, new beginners class and discipline new believers.
In the beginning and summer of 1994 the Iranian government started persecuting and killing the superintendent and Pastors. Therefore the Baghestani’s fled to India in November 1994 to seek asylum for USA. While staying in India they preached to more than 25,000 people in different churches and states. They established the Afghan church in New Delhi that they increased to 175 members from mere 5 people. They had the first Afghan conference and the first Afghan kids Sunday School for a whole week called “week of Joy”
In April 1996 Pastor Elnathan and Pastor Nazanin Baghestani moved to USA and ministered in the Persian church for four years.
In 2001 Pastor Elnathan and Pastor Nazanin Baghestani started their own ministry called Iran for Christ Ministries. The Ambassadors of Christ Persian church started simultaneously.
In 2004 the television programs started Live in Pars TV, a secular Persian satellite channel which broadcast it to Iran. The programs continued to air in different Persian channels and now it included English Channel broadcasting worldwide.
In spring 2010 the Ambassadors of Christ Persian church started in Turkey among refugees. There is annual conference held in Turkey for Persian to come from all over the world to join in for worship and unity to build and edify the Persian Global church.
